With Marie’s sessions I noticed a change in my body shape quite quickly, friends and colleagues had noticed too. The main thing I found had changed was my fitness level, the hills I encountered on my running routes became easier. At the end of the month when Marie weighed and measured me, I was over the moon to find that I had lost a few pounds and inches. it was a real reward and a refreshing change to actually see a difference. I have been training with Marie, on and off for nearly 10 years – in that time we have both had children, struggled with toddlers and passed the “first day at school” milestone. Marie really understands the struggles that women and mothers face when trying to improve their fitness – she listens and makes a programme tailor made to you and is a wealth of health and fitness advice. Her friendly, approachable style is evident from the first time you meet her – however she will push you to achieve your goals – gently but firmly! I wouldn’t train with anyone else!

With my son’s wedding approaching and nearing 60 years old, I desperately wanted to lose some weight and improve my fitness levels. Determined not to fail again, I contacted Marie and went along to meet her. I was nervous and embarrassed by my size but was immediately put at ease by her and enrolled on her Simple Slimming Solution programme with 1-2-1 training. I have been training with Marie once a week for almost 6 months now and have lost 3 stone, 4 dress sizes and a total of 25 inches. At each session we plan what I need to do before I see her again and I know that she’s always a phone call away if I need any help..

 

Marie’s enthusiasm for healthy living and exercise is contagious. She motivates and makes you believe in yourself in a way that is long term, making you look at why you failed in the past and why this time is going to be different. I started Marie’s Simple Slimming Solution course because I was at a time of life where I was struggling to maintain my weight – putting weight on was easy, losing it seemed like an uphill struggle!  I liked the idea of no calorie counting and that it was an eating plan for life, creating new healthy habits - not just doing it for a limited time period after which you revert back to old unhealthy ways.

The guidelines were simple to understand and involved specific tweaks to my current diet.  Writing in the food diary kept me on track and support was always on hand from Marie, plus from the rest of the group at the weekly meetings and from the facebook group.  Marie’s talks help me understand much more about how our bodies function and why certain god and bad eating habits affect us so much.

My goal for the ten weeks was to lose 6lbs but, to be honest, I would have been happy to have ended it at the same weight as I started and not to have put any on.  But, to my complete amazement I lost a total of 11lbs by the end of the 10 week course!  Plus, I had also lost inches in size and my clothes now feel loose and comfortable rather than tight.  I feel lighter, slimmer and healthier.  All of this with never once going hungry, never once counting a calorie and having had meals out, takeaways, alcohol and chocolate during that time (all in moderation of course!).  And another bonus is that my skin feels softer from drinking the extra water.

I am so happy with my transformation and cannot thank Marie enough – I genuinely did not think I could lose weight that easily.  And, I am confident that I will carry on with it – after all it’s easy to do and I feel so much better for it, so why not..
