Any of you that know me well will know that at the first sign of anyone around me coughing and sneezing, out comes the echinachea for a few days and, touch wood, I generally seem to remain germ free.
I’m also a fan of essential oils and will diffuse these around the home.
Particularly useful at this time of year are:
Eucalyptus oil (no surprises there, as you will find it in most off the shelf cold remedies), it can help eliminate airborne bacteria and germs.
Scots pine can also help to boost immunity, helping your body fight off many common health complaints.
Of course, it goes without saying that your body needs to be receiving good quality nutrients from the food that you eat and has to be able to absorb these.
A plentiful supply of the anti oxidants Vitamins A, C and E work together to support immune health along with essential minerals such as zinc, selenium, iron and folic acid.
If you consistently suffer with bloating, stomach complaints and seem to catch every cold and sniffle that is doing the rounds check here before spending a small fortune on supplements and remedies.
Add in some restful sleep, regular exercise and hopefully the bugs won’t bother you too much this winter!
Hope that’s helpful, if you need a little motivation to exercise, come and join one of our fitness classes, We’d love to see you there 🙂
Have a happy, healthy and active week
