I went along to Marie's introduction to her class and was really motivated to join as it wasn't just about losing weight, it was about changing your mindset and choosing the healthy food options.  The menu planner was really useful as it didn't read like a 'diet' it was a very helpful tool in changing my weekly menu and eating habits easily.  I wasn't too sure that I would have the motivation or will power to stick at it but at the end of the programme I had lost 5 llbs without really noticing!  My measurements that were taken at the start of the programme had reduced too which was great.  It wasn't hard work at all and I think the chats with Marie each week, group support both at the weekly classes and online definitely helped.
I would thoroughly recommend these classes and will be keeping the menu planners and regularly checking in to Marie's Facebook page for handy tips and encouraging messages.

Having tried so many diets, I was pleased to hear of a new approach from a friend.  She told me about Marie’s classes, but I was too self-conscious to go.  Fortunately, she was running a taster session which I went to (with the support of my daughter).
Marie was so welcoming and non-judgemental, giving me the confidence that I could actually change my lifestyle.
Her Slim and Trim class provided key information  about portion size, sugars, healthy eating and making better food choices.  The exercise classes were suited for all abilities with Marie giving various ways to carry them out.  The meal plans have provided tasty nutritious meals that I could prepare in 30 minutes for the whole family.
After the five week plan, I left the class with more confidence and was delighted to find that I was 11lb lighter and have lost 10 inches in total.
I would truly recommend Marie.  If you have lost your way with what to eat and what exercises to do, go and see Marie – she will help you get back on track.

Just to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your Move it or Lose it Classes on Monday mornings.  I really look forward to meeting everyone in such a jolly atmosphere and doing the exercises which are not too taxing!  I'm sure it does me a lot of good in several ways that make me feel better .

The classes help keep me motivated to exercise.  I enjoy the workouts to music at your own pace.  I think the cognitive "games" are so important at keeping our memories alert. We all seem to get more forgetful as we get older and in truth, once over 60 the fear of  developing dementia increases.  The strength and balance exercises are also really helpful to me and I try to continue them at home as much as possible.  You have created a friendly, welcoming class for older people to meet and keep fit in different ways and I'm so pleased that I joined.

I have been training with Marie, on and off for nearly 10 years – in that time we have both had children, struggled with toddlers and passed the “first day at school” milestone. Marie really understands the struggles that women and mothers face when trying to improve their fitness – she listens and makes a programme tailor made to you and is a wealth of health and fitness advice. Her friendly, approachable style is evident from the first time you meet her – however she will push you to achieve your goals – gently but firmly! I wouldn’t train with anyone else!
